The Ultimate Boudoir Style Guide
Ideas of What To Wear For Your Boudoir Shoot
The key to the best boudoir photography experience is preparation. Having the right wardrobe can make a big difference in how your photos will turn out, so please use this guide as inspiration for your own shoot!
What to wear for boudoir?
What style are you going for in your session? Bombshell? Girl next door? Timeless glam? Artistic? The options are up to you, but your outfits should speak to your style.
What do you normally wear to feel sexy?
Are there pieces that are special to a significant other that you would like to wear? A shirt, hat, uniform etc.
I recommend bringing in 3-5 outfits (plus accessories like shoes, thigh highs, jewelry etc.) to your session, we may not use all of them, but it’s definitely better to have more than less. Like my mother used to say, “Better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.” That being said we do have a client closet that we can borrow pieces from. I also HIGHLY encourage you to try on all of your outfits before coming to your session. Nothing worse than opening something at the studio to find out it doesn’t fit or it’s broken, or missing something.
The 3 Piece Set
A staple in my boudoir sessions and there are a lot of ways to mix it up.
Matching Underwear
Matching sets can be classic and beautiful, lace and textured pieces can be especially beautiful in photos
Sweaters & Shirts
Nothing says sexy like a comfy sweater and panties! Mix thigh-highs and garters with a cozy sweater for a cute and sexy look
