You’re not a Victoria Secret model, and that’s okay | Sanford Boudoir Photography

When I moved to Sanford North Carolina this last fall I knew I wanted to continue my boudoir business, but starting over in a new city where you don’t know a single soul can be challenging! One method I have used to get word of mouth going is doing model-calls. No, you do not have to be an actual model, in fact, I should call it “Not-a-real-model-call.” Because the best women I have photographed are just everyday girls like you and me. My average client is under 5’4” and a size 14.

So no, I RARELY shoot clients who look like Victoria Secret models when they walk into the studio, but in the photos, they always look phenomenal! Between picking the right outfits (I have a huge client wardrobe that my clients have access to), hair and makeup that I specifically do for this type of photography, posing and lighting all of my clients look like freaking models!

“I felt uncomfortable in my own skin, I felt like my outfits would show my imperfection. But my fears didn’t come true. The pictures were beautiful. It was a wonderful experience. I would do it again and I would recommend that you do it too. If you are feeling uncomfortable with anything let her know and she will take care of your needs. She definitely works for her customers, and will make your experience worthwhile.”
